Situational Awareness and Response Assistant (SARA)
is an enabling technology that can improve the safety
of your senior housing community by increasing
awareness of certain events and activities. SARA is
an automated alerting system which through a simple to
use text to voice engine can send voice and text
alerts to in-building pagers, email and telephones, as
well as to cell phones, home phones and external
email. This allows both staff and residents to be
notified of important events at any time, any place.

Doorway Privilege Manager
By tightly integrating doorway controls with the
SARA alerting engine, you are able to increase the
overall awareness of all events occurring within your
facilities. SARA’s Doorway Privilege Manager provides
a rules-based ingress, egress and alerting solution.
It can leverage existing access control and wander
management hardware that your community may already
have in place.
Automated Voice Reminders
Alerts for community events, scheduled activities,
bus departure and medicine reminders can be scheduled
and automatically sent via phone to designated
residents and/ or staff members. The technology uses
a “text-to-voice” capability which is integrated with
the phone system. Regularly scheduled, recurring
events can be entered into the system, or “Quick
Messages” can be created. Quick Messages are an
effective tool for last minute schedule changes or
safety related information, such as inclement
weather.
